Life is dominated by sewing, wedding planning, and visiting friends. I made a ton of presents for bridesmaids and other people helping out with the wedding, as well as my sister’s reception dress this week. Now I need to make MY dress, but it’ll have to wait until after a little vacation with my friend Jenny and a few other people.
We also had her Michigan bridal shower today, which was very different than the refined, dressy Georgia shower, but had more people that I knew and wanted to visit with. Having Jess and Travis around the past few days has been great.
This week was notable because I feel like I’ve pretty much mastered omelets and crepes (at least with the pans that we have at home). Gillian gave me a surprise visit and we made a bunch of food on Thursday, and she had no complaints. I’m enjoying the modern conveniences while I can. I called the Peace Corps office on Monday and they said I should be hearing back this upcoming week. Of course, they said that in early July, so, we’ll see. My invitation period is over soon so they really do have to tell me something in the next ten or so days. Hopefully it’s good.
I don’t have much to say. Here are some photos.
