Fourteen Hours in Brasil

Don’t get too excited. We aren’t allowed to leave the Sao Paolo Airport. We found out yesterday that our layover wouldn’t be three hours but fourteen due to scheduling issues. This has its ups and downs.

For example, we spent a good chunk of time as a group studying the native language that we’re going to start learning tomorrow. We did this in the American Airlines Admiral Lounge, which is like a slightly more comfortable gate area. We also get to bond, and rest up a lot before we meet our host families tomorrow.

But, we aren’t getting to Paraguay until it’s dark! So my first impressions of the country will really wait until tomorrow.
